Rooted in vintage + has grown into so much more!

My name is Emilia, co-owner of Greenhouse Salon & Shop. We’re a salon with an eclectic little shop! There you can find houseplants, curated vintage home furnishings and all kinds of goods made by local artists. We offer something for everyone! Along with hair services, we also offer plant craft workshops and plant care sessions. We’re located in the Bryn Mawr Neighborhood of MPLS operating since November 2021. I’ve always loved art and design, back in 2019 after moving to Minneapolis, I started an Instagram page with the handles second_life_thrift where I sold curated vintage home decor and fashion accessories . In 2021 after spending the summer in their greenhouse, my business partner Jae ( who has 15+ years of hair experience) and I started combining our houseplant collection with the intention to eventually propagate to sell them. 3 months later an opportunity we couldn’t pass up fell on our laps and that’s how Greenhouse salon and shop came into fruition.

I love shopping at Arlo! Ally offers the perfect mix of everyday and fun clothing. A few months ago a pair of emerald high waisted pants popped up on my feed and I had to have them!! Buying them via Instagram was too easy and within 24 hours I was in shop trying them on. I absolutely fell in love with the space and Ally’s personable energy. Arlo has become my local, go-to clothing shop. Every time I wear a piece of clothing from here I get many compliments! I love telling people I bought them for a local, woman own store.
