Anti-Diet | Pro-Fashion: Kaitlyn
"Kaitlyn earned her BS in Dietetics from Michigan State University and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Minnesota – The Emily Program (eating disorder emphasis). While at Michigan State, Kaitlyn was highly involved in athletics, working as an administrative assistant for the athletic department and as a sport nutrition intern under the Director of Performance Nutrition. After college, she worked with the University of Minnesota football team, assisting with the day-to-day nutrition tasks, before later joining as a volunteer sports dietitian for athletes experiencing an eating disorder/RED-S. Kaitlyn also has experience working as a dietitian in an eating disorder intensive residential/residential unit, treating patients of all ages and identities. While there, she completed formal FBT (family based therapy) training and utilizes this in the work she does each day.
Kaitlyn is currently contracted with Mind Body Endurance, LLC - collaborating with a team of sports psychologists to provide all-encompassing sports nutrition care. Kaitlyn also consults with St. Catherine University, supporting their students in the Health and Wellness clinic and is working on her Master of Social Work at the University of Michigan. She wants to be a therapist, too!
Kaitlyn believes in an anti-diet, Health At Every Size® (HAES®), client centered approach, meeting her patient/client’s where they are at, while also providing a light sense of humor! Her passion lies in debunking diet culture and helping those with an eating disorder make peace with food, exercise and their body.

Kaitlyn is an avid Arlo lover - she states she was drawn to Arlo not only for their super stylish clothing but also because of the owner, Ally, and her infectious personality. "Ally is different in the way she runs her business - She stands out above others because of her authenticity and her desire to uplift female entrepreneurs". "Since the first day I met Ally, I knew I would be coming back to her store time and time again".
We are so glad she came back not only to shop but to hang out. From there, it turned into a job offer, because why not. You can catch Kaitlyn workin' it at Arlo some Wednesdays + Sundays.
